That's me:

My name is Gyan Bahadur Yonjan.

I was born in 1977 in Mechchhe , Nepal. I am married to my wife Pancha Maya, we have a daughter, Pasng (born in 2002) and a son, Shakti (born in 2004) and live in Kirtipur in the south of Kathmandu.

I speak four languages, namely Nepali, Tamang, Hindi and a very good English.

After completing my high school levels at Patan Multiple Campus I was involved in tourism industry from 1996 on.

During the trekking seasons I am working as a freelance trekking guide for tourists. I am officially licensed since 1998 (see my license). Before I worked as a porter, so I have more than 17 years of trekking experience in Nepal.

When you are planning a trip to Nepal, I can assist you and provide very flexible itineraries and non-touristic trekking as well as managing your accomodation, transport or do some trekking prearrangement and scheduling like getting your permits. My clients decide on their own, how long and how far they want to walk every day or in which lodge they want to spent the night.

In opposite to the trekking companies, which can be found in myriads in Kathmandu, we are not bound to a predefined number of days of trekking. You can take your time if you need a day of rest or we can speed up if you want to. So there is no fixed itinerary and one more advantage is: It´s cheaper than hiring a guide and porters from a company.

So, if you have questions or are searching for a guide to organise your trip and guide you on your trek, feel free to write me an email or call me.
